candidates going directly at each other. what do you hope to accomplish? >> if we want to end family separations which is a cruel practice we need to repeal section 1325 of the immigration and nationality act because that is the law that allows the us government to incarcerate parents and separate those little children from their parents. i know some folks think what are you talking about? 1929 until 2004 we used to treat these things as civil violations and the vast majority of cases. this is not something radical, not something we didn't use to do. people are still -- would still have to show up in court, still subject to deportation or if they are claiming asylum there asylum claim will be heard, but my immigration plan would end
