given the ultimate sacrifice in pursuit of freedom. my next guest is grateful to be able to pay tribute on this day. in 2007, u.s. marine corps sergeant john peck suffered a traumatic brain injury while serving in iraq. he lost 21 years of his memories. but two years later, determined to rejoin his brothers, peck reenlisted and returned to his unit, this time to afghanistan. then in may of 2010, he was severely injured by another ied. he lost both of his legs and his right arm. his left arm later had to be amputated. now sergeant peck is just the second kwam quad drum ampute veteran he is pursuing dream of becoming a chef. a dream he is talking about rebuilding sergeant peck how i put body and soul back together after afghanistan.
