pays for it what we should be exploring is how do we drive down the cost of healthcare. the things that are driving the costs up. there is no focus on that in these plans. >> well, in fairness to governor nusm he has a proposal for government program to pay less for prescription drugs. rachel: that's a good idea. >> that's an admission that it is inefficient program that it does not get a good deal for the taxpayers it is overcharging taxpayers. if you want to bring costs down, the way to do that is through competition. by letting consumers control the money so that they care about lower prices in a way that they just don't when the government is paying. and the way that the politicians don't when government is paying. and what you see in healthcare is when consumers control the money. we preserve the freedom of providers to compete to offer consumers a better deal than what they're getting right now. prices fall while quality goes up. that doesn't happen in government programs. rachel: we are all bargain shoppers. thank you for illuminating us on that. thank you. all right.
