until the investigation results are released, we really don't know. all the factors combined to make things dangerous in terms of 40% aircraft, you don't have the aircraft for crews to train on regular basis, high-operational tempo, meaning you don't have enough time for training and just maintenance problems with the aircraft themselves so when you have factors and you undertake a really hazardous operation like refueling, over water at 2:00 o'clock in the morning, potential for this sort of risk. eric: are they being put in harm's way because of budget situation or something that should have been done under the previous administration? >> yeah, if you don't reduce operational tempo the smaller force you have is overworked. if you remember the ship accidents that occurred about a year ago, year and a half ago, you had crews working 100 hours a week, maintenance on aircraft
