loyal to and known to the president? >> frankly, i think everyone in the administration serves as the pleasure of the president. i don't figure and the position if you are a staff member, certainly not the case in tom coburn's office where we begin to dictate to the boss who he can and cannot hire. trump may have legitimate concerns they are, but regardless i understand the criticism that this is too public, but you have a situation and dynamic where democrats are going overboard and trying to draw a connection between russia and the campaign, and that story line hurts democrats much more than it does republicans because people outside the beltway don't care about that story. they want to know about jobs, they want to see wage growth. they want healthcare to be more affordable. i think they are in the process of moving the story line away from flynn and this controversy to a selection that is going to be of sound, someone capable so they can move on to other issue. >> jon: it would seem the key
