darren wilson. the governor credits police and the national guard for preventing protest related deaths. now to extreme weather. a rain storm and a mud slide. a layer of mud going down the hillside. live in the weather center. good morning maria. >> good morning. good to see you. tracking the storm system that produced mud slides across portions of california and the storm system producing showers earlier this morning across areas to the northwest of los angeles and even across areas further north to the east of san francisco. there's also lingering snow across the higher elevations of the sierras where snow totals were expected for some of the higher elevations out there. we have a storm system rolling through producing snow over kansas and into missouri.
