weiner is still hoping this whole thing will disappear, just as he's been hoping for the past several days. hasn't happened yet. he greeted reporters outside his office today, spoke only briefly, and offered no new information. but here's a little bit of that: >> i made it very clear i did not send pictures, and my twitter account has been hacked and the client has -- this prank has been successful but after almost 11 hours of answering questions, any that anyone wanted to put, today i'm going to have to get back to work, doing the job that i'm paid to do. >> reporter: meantime, an unofficial gop response to congressman weiner's twitter troubles, this from house majority leader eric kantor who appeared on fox tph-f friends. let's listen. >> i think the american people are sick of seeing their elected officials tied up in scandals like this. i really think it's sad. and obviously, there's not a lot of clarity surrounding the reports that you're referring to. >> reporter: yesterday, weiner sat down with reporters and tried to
