the ground and stop it from attacking its own people. mike emanuel, live from the white house, what's the latest on this no fly zone idea? >> it's interesting, we've heard the president talk about humanitarian concerns about libya, we heard him condemn the violence, taking about what nato is considering. here's the president: >> in the meantime, we've got nato, as we speak, consulting in brussels around a wide range of potential options, including potential military options. in response to the violence that continues to take place inside of libya. >> reporter: yesterday his chief of staff saying people talk about a no fly zone. it's not a video game. and secretary of defense gates has been outspoken in terms of being against the idea because of the tremendous commitment of military resores and putting american lives at risk so it is quite a dilemma at the white house and we ject jay carney, the white house secretary, to get questions on this when he briefs us.
