outsider but john mccain poured on the cash and started running these commercials that not only depicted him as a huckster, talking about one infomercial thing that he did but also, look, this guy was a washington insider. he used to vote for a whole bunch of bills that had a whole bunch of earmarks including the very famous bridge to nowhere. bridge to nowhere doesn't get you votes these days. >> one of the interesting things that this race brought out was that j.d. hayworth's presence at his position made john mccain to the right more. he had to become more conservative on some pivotal issues such as immigration so now people are wondering if his position on that is a moving target and if, in fact, you'll hear senator mccain talk more again about amnesty as he did famously, you know, with ted kennedy before this election but now, he's changed his position so it will be interesting the next few months how he frames his positions on some of these things. >> what a seamless transition to the next election, the next result. >> you're welcome. >> alisyn, i owe you. it was immigration exactly that
