john boehner and some lobbyists and other groups talking about job creation. the problem was that the minority leader himself was controlling the cameras and it was put out on the internet streaming live. there were no reporters allowed in the room. it was a roundtable discussion, there are no actual rules on how these should be covered or not covered. it was streamed on the internet, but no eyewitness coverage by reporters who know the capitol hill beat and know what kinds of things to look for. there is also another issue and here is how one internet expert put it. >> sometimes i refer to this as a paradox of transparency. once the cameras are turned on the conversation obviously changes, they know that what they will say will potentially be on the record and broadcast around the world. usually some of the most interesting news is when things are recorded and people don't know that it's being recorded. >> reporter: a new bigger role for the internet and one that is raising questions among some reporters. jon: there was that case
