garden at the white house. we will take that live when it does happen right here on fox. joining us with more on the situation in iraq and how things have changed on the ground is a former state department advisor to the iraqi government and just back from the country. dave, thanks for joining us today. >> thank you, shannon. >> shannon: you talked about how the country changed in the last few years. we made mistakes up front and the situation has gotten better. how has it improved? >> the last three years has been a positive trend in iraq. let's start with security. attacks against u.s. forces are way down. equally important for iraq's stability the violence towards iraqi civilians is way down. that helped increase political stability and given the iraqi government the room it needs to mature and start to execute and provide basic services to the people of iraq like water, electricity, like keeping the streets clean and safe for iraqis and that in turn has resulted in some economic development. as iraq continues to provide
