elections and they seized power today the armed forces have taken an important step by siding with the people our process and we've always said this is peaceful and nonviolent and we are not going to change that the ones who have caused violence through the armed paramilitary forces they call collective's other regime and we'll maintain a nonviolent stance as demonstrated by the venezuelan people when they took to the streets to protest. that was one guy there speaking to us earlier now the dispute among venezuelans over who should lead the country has spilled over into a number of world capitals including washington d.c. our correspondent helen humphrey has been down at the venezuelan embassy there and sent us this the protests you can see here are pro one why don't protest as many venezuelans who live in and around washington d.c. who have come out today to say what is happening here at the venezuelan embassy in washington d.c.
