we have chief white house correspondent jim acosta to talk about the reaction that we are getting there. the president responded in a tweet. he claimed that mueller's comments don't change anything. what are you hearing? >> reporter: i should tell you i talked to a trump legal team source a short while ago. they are frustrated with a portion of what robert mueller had to say when he said if he had confidence that the president did not commit a crime we would have said so. the source said that remark was gratuitous because mueller left the door open to the imagination of the american people that perhaps the president did commit some sort of crime and that was not welcomed. you mentioned the president's tweet a short while ago. he says nothing changes from the mueller report. there was insufficient evidence and therefore in our country a person is innocent. the case is closed. thank you. and going beyond that, the white house press secretary sarah sanders put out a statement. we can show you some of that.
