anything i could imagine to honor her this way today and she's going to truly be missed. she was an icon. when you called aretha franklin's name, everybody wanted to see where she was going to be and be there and be a part of whatever she was doing so to be a part of this today is amazing and awesome and humbling experience for us. >> and karen there's so many ways in which this city has exhibited how much they love aretha franklin from the people who are coming out days ago to get their spot to see her body lie in repose to what ryan described, folks who came out yesterday to get their spot here in the church and then last night it was beautiful to see downtown detroit washed in pink. and the general motors building had a big jumbotron and it spelled out r-e-s-p-e-c-t.
