talk to us about how quickthry conditions changed. >> the fire that came in t was on the west side of the sacramento river and it moved actually about five miles overnight from the national park into close to redding and during the day relatively stagnant at the western boarder of the city of redding. by 6:00 it jumped across the river and flew up one of the hill sides and took out a number of neighborhoods, some partially, some in total and it just moved rapidly what i hear from the fire individuals is that the fire behavior was that with which they had never seen before. they referred to a fire tornado and i think there's been video throughout that shows that. and so just extreme fire conditions. and fire behavior that people in the fire service for 30 years have never seen before.
