should stand for less spending. instead, we see a massive increase. where have the conservatives gone? >> that's an interesting question. there's a theory called supply side that said if you cut taxes you get more revenue for the treasurer. it turned out not to be true, a disaster. and the republican party never recovered from that. i'm an old guy. i remember eisenhower saying it's a duty to our grandchildren to have a balanced budget. i would like to see them walk back to it. i live in a neighborhood where every house has one or two bentleys. i'd like to see those people taxed more so we could have more pay down of the federal debt. we are heading towards a default. it may not be in my lifetime, i have a granddaughter who's 7 years old, i don't want to see america default in her lifetime
