libyan cell phone system to communicate among themselves in the field, and that's depending on the people they're fighting. we could be giving them satellite telephones. there's a lot we could give them that would make a difference. i agree the things that make more difference take time, but i think moving in a dramatic way and making it clear that we're not going to accept a stalemate will work with the opposition. and we'll work as quickly as we can and might bring a quicker end to this thing. >> bob, is it tough to shut down libyan government communications, to shut off their satellite service and to give communication equipment to the opposition? >> no, that would be easy. and i think we could shut down their communications. it would take a little bit of effort, but we could do it with c-130s. but i've seen this done before, as paul knows. it could be a little more effort and we could do it. we have to close this place down and we've got to get this over fast because it's becoming a very nasty civil war.
