that they're dependent on the libyan cell phone system to communicate among themselves in the field, and that's depending on the people they're fighting. we could be giving them satellite telephones. there's a lot we could give them that would make a difference. i agree the things that make more difference take time, but i think moving in a dramatic way and making it clear that we're not going to accept a stalemate will work with the opposition. >> bob, is it tough to shut down libyan government communications, to shut off their satellite service and to give communication equipment to the opposition? >> no, that would be easy. and i think we could shut down their communications. it would take a little bit of effort, but i've seen this done before as paul knows. it could be a little more effort and we could do it. we have to close this place down and we've got to get this over fast because it's becoming a very nasty civil war.
