backhoes and bulldozers coming in and tearing down what remains of the buildings. and the sad truth is it means all the people who are buried inside and crushed inside are just thrown out along with the rubble and the debris. there are people, individuals trying to make a difference and trying to pull out the remains of loved ones before the backhoes come. but it is a race against the clock. it is a thankless job and a brutal job and occurring on the street all over the city of port-au-prince. >> you have been in haiti and from you what witnessed, can do you think it will improve? they have gotten back? >> i mean, technically, almost a month now where things if they hadn't gotten better, it would be criminal. i hesitate to say that.
