TALLAHASSEE – Florida State has added wide receiver Destyn Hill, it was announced Friday. The New Orleans native, who is set to begin classes Monday, originally signed with the Seminoles as part of the 2021 signing class and will be a true freshman for the 2023 season. “I am so very excited to have Destyn Hill here and officially in our program,” head coach Mike Norvell said. “He has showcased a tremendous amount of maturity and persistence as he dealt with a private family matter that delayed his enrollment. We are grateful for his desire to be a Seminole and excited for what he’s going to bring to the Nole Family on and off the field. Destyn was one of the best receivers in the country at Edna Karr High School while earning high honors academically. He is a dynamic playmaker with game-changing speed which will give him the opportunity to have an impact at receiver and also in the return game.” Destyn Hill | WR | 6-0 | 200 | New Orleans, La. | Edna Karr High School Consensus four-star wide receiver rated 19th nationally in Class of 2021 at his position and No. 5 overall in Louisiana on 247Sports Composite…tabbed 89th in ESPN300 and 88th overall prospect by On3…ranked as Louisiana’s No. 3 prospect and nation’s No. 14 wide receiver by ESPN and On3…rated as 20th wide receiver in America and No. 7 prospect in Louisiana by 247Sports…was state’s No. 6 prospect and country’s No. 25 wide receiver according to Rivals…helped lead Cougars to championship game of 4A state playoffs in senior season…had 33 receptions for 806 yards and 15 touchdowns…made 54 receptions for 1,047 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior, helping Edna Karr win 2019 4A state championship.
