Demond Means was named the new superintendent of the Wauwatosa School District Thursday. He was one of three finalists for the job.
Means has an extensive background in school administration and leadership. In a statement sent to Now News Group, he said it was a "true honor" to be selected by the Wauwatosa School Board.
"I am looking forward to partnering with the school board, staff, and community to raise achievement for all students," Means said. "This is a tremendous opportunity for me to share my passion for implementing educational equity practices through effective instruction, inclusive school cultures and transparent relationships."
