Des Moines police may need new station to earn CALEA accreditation

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, a Virginia-based nonprofit, helps law enforcement agencies strengthen crime-prevention techniques, promote nondiscrimination policies and boost community trust, officials say.
