Department of State May Resume Nonimmigrant Visa Renewal On U.S. Soil

U.S. Department of State may resume issuing nonimmigrant visas within the United States later this year. A pilot program may allow stateside renewal of H-1B and L-1 visas. Currently, a visa may be issued only at an embassy or consulate outside the United States.
