DENNIS PORT – A two-alarm fire at a condominium building on Union Wharf Road displaced four families early Tuesday morning.
Firefighters received a report of a "fast-moving fire" at 75 Union Wharf Road at 12:26 a.m., Dennis fire Chief Robert Brown said in a statement.
Two units caught fire in the 2½-story building. Brown said the fire started in the basement and made its way through the floors of both units and extended up the back of the building.
The units were occupied by 11 people and a cat, but only two people were initially accounted for by police, according to the statement.
