Democrat Gov. Whitmer: Trump 'Incites' Attacks with Calls Like 'Liberate Michigan'

'That’s much the same tactic that we saw play out in the nation’s capital,' Whitmer said
Democrat Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer compared the recent U.S. Capitol riot to the group of anti-lockdown protesters that breached her state Capitol last year.
Whitmer accused Trump of inciting such groups to attack, and he “legitimizes” with tweets like
“Liberate Michigan."
During MSNBC’s Sunday broadcast MSNBC’s “American Voices,” Whitmer said:
“That last event [in Michigan] … also had people with long guns and automatic rifles standing up legislators and intimidating them,” Whitmer said.
“That’s much the same tactic that we saw play out in the nation’s capital."
