Spaces in the club are rare, with potential members normally having to join a waiting list.
Babs Harris, Alzheimer’s Support’s chief executive officer, said: “The current vacancies at the Old Silk Works are the sad reality of life after a year of Covid.
“Our clubs were forced to close for several months at the start of the first lockdown.
"The addition of further restrictions, the lack of social stimulation and not being able to get out and about has caused the dementia of some our clients to advance more quickly and they have moved into residential care.
“As a result, we are now welcoming new members to benefit from a full day out in a supportive and stimulating environment at the Old Silk Works."
