Workers busy making barricades to stop farmers from marching towards the capital to protest against centre's farm reform laws, at Ghazipur border in New Delhi.
NEW DELHI: The ongoing farmers’ protest took a serious turn on Thursday with the Delhi Police registering an FIR in connection with 'toolkit' tweeted and later deleted by teen environment activist Greta Thunberg and others.
In another related development, the US administration said it encouraged resolution of differences between the Indian government and the farmers through dialogue. India was quick to respond by saying that any protests must be seen in the context of the country’s democratic ethos and polity.
