DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Delaware County officials last week announced the reformation of the county's Heroin Task Force to be a more inclusive substance abuse group.
District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer and Sandra Garrison, the Director of the County's Department of Human Services, announced last week said the county's Heroin Task Force has been reshaped to be the Delaware County Substance Abuse & Recovery Task Force.
In making their announcement, Stollsteimer and Garrison noted that while the Heroin Task Force had played a vitally important role in the early years of the opioid epidemic, much had been learned about the issue of substance abuse and recovery since 2012.
