Snowfall in northern Delaware is now expected to continue into Tuesday evening, after the National Weather Service extended a winter storm warning for New Castle County to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Forecasters are predicting between 3 to 6 inches of new accumulation Monday night in New Castle County, with wind gusts as high as 35 miles mph. Commuters on Monday evening and Tuesday morning can expect reduced visibility and hazardous conditions.
The heaviest snow will likely end by late Monday evening, with periods of light snow expected through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
