When Defence Minister Linda Reynolds cancelled her National Press Club address on Wednesday, the club’s kitchen faced a dilemma about what to do with the 220 lobsters ordered for lunch.
So it took to social media to spruik a $10 lobster special, which was snapped up by the lobbyists and defence company executives who now found themselves at a loose end.

But while lobster was on the menu, the main course of conversation was Reynolds’ future as minister, after she was hospitalised that morning on the precautionary advice of her cardiologist for a pre-existing condition.
