Decatur New Year's Day Polar Bear Plunge changes location
The plunge will now take place at the pier near Ingalls Harbor. All proceeds from the event will benefit Meals on Wheels & More of Morgan County.

DECATUR, Alabama — The New Year's Day Polar Bear Plunge scheduled for Jan. 1, 2021, at 12 p.m. has been relocated to the south side of the Tennessee River.
The plunge will now take place at the pier near Ingalls Harbor. All proceeds from the event will benefit Meals on Wheels & More of Morgan County.
The Morgan County Rescue Squad will be in attendance to help out anyone brave enough to take the plunge. Participants ages 10 and under are required to wear a life jacket and older participants are encouraged to wear one.
