Trekking through a valley during a family holiday in
Vietnam in 2014, we came across a family from
Bristol.
The Dad was a big, cheery fella who plonked next to me in a hut after we’d struggled up a steep hill near
Sapa.
He told me he drove street sweepers and was using a week of his two-weeks annual leave.
To get to this valley 10,000 kilometres from home, they’d driven to
