The sale of the new American and Japanese izakaya-style eateries to Brian Kramer's restaurant group was reported by the Detroit News, which could not immediately reach him for comment about their future. Former owner Working Class Outlaws Restaurant Group, whose entry to the area was with taco and cocktail spot Imperial, called it a "bittersweet" transition on social media.
In addition to Rosie's, Kramer owns One-Eyed Betty's and Pops for Italian.
Working Class was last in the news for the resignation of its daily operations manager, who was accused of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic work environment. The group is expected to soon open a second Imperial location in Detroit, downtown at the Fillmore.
