Watermelon-feta salad
Carlos Parisi, host of Detroit Digest, couldn't resist heading back to the Dearborn area for a second time to sample some of the distinctive choices in the final stretch of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month marked by fasting, feasting, praying and reflecting. Last time, he was in Dearborn.
This time, for the last weekend of the observance a week ago, he headed to a gathering of food trucks at Crestwood High School in Dearborn Heights. Our diner sampled barbecue chicken, a corn concoction dusted with hot Cheetos, watermelon-feta salad and a quesadilla.
