Delaware drivers had the largest drop of miles spent on the road in the U.S., according to a report by the insurance comparison site QuoteWizard.
When comparing miles on the road from early 2020 to early 2021, Delawareans have driven an average of 403 fewer miles every month — a 38% decrease. This drop was much higher than the rest of the nation. Hawaii, which has the No. 2 spot in the report, had only a 19% decrease.
So why did Delaware's driving habits change so much?
