Dawson-Robinson named Granville County Teacher of the Year

CREEDMOOR — Granville County Public Schools has recognized G.C. Hawley Middle School Career and Technical Education instructor Samala Dawson-Robinson as its Teacher of the Year during a recent school board meeting.
Dawson-Robinson said the past year has presented many challenges for her, but she considers herself honored that district officials acknowledged her determination towards providing students a proper education during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’m over the top excited to know that my struggles haven’t been in vain, and it gives my heart tremendous joy just to see the overwhelming support from students, parents and fellow teachers,” Dawson-Robinson said.
