Dawn raid at Eltingville home nets drug stash, cops say; man, woman charged

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Officers raided a home in Eltingville where, police say, they found a variety of narcotics intended for sale by a man and woman who peddled heroin and crack cocaine to an undercover officer.
Cops swarmed the home of Alberto Acevedo, 41, and Christina Calix, 35, on Littlefield Avenue near Hylan Boulevard on April 1 at about 6:10 a.m., according to the criminal complaint.
Acevedo and Calix were in bed in a bedroom where, the complaint alleges, officers recovered the following items: Over eight ounces of heroin packed in various containers, including open vacuum-seal bags, a white bottle, a plastic zipper bag and 10 glassine envelops; 16 methadone pills marked M5771 and three methadone pills labeled 54142; two plastic zipper bags containing crack cocaine; one oxycodone pill marked 543; a straw and a scale with heroin residue; a large quantity of empty glassine envelopes; an undisclosed amount of cash and five cells phones.
