A David Bowie painting sold for $108,120 at an auction after it was purchased for five dollars at the Machar Mall donation centre near North Bay, Ont., last summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Although the seller has not been identified, a press release from auctioneer Cowley Abbott said the eagle-eyed shopper was astonished when they saw the famed British star’s signature inscribed on the reverse of the painting, named D Head XLVI.
