DANVILLE, Va. – The Danville School Board will vote Thursday night on a mask policy for the upcoming school year, which begins on Monday. The policy adopted by the board will be in place when students and parents gather Friday for Open House meetings at city schools.
Many school systems across the commonwealth are instituting mask requirements following a surge in the delta variant.
The Lynchburg School Board voted 7-2 Tuesday in favor of keeping the mask mandate, which means that all students and staff will be required to keep their masks on while inside any facility belonging to Lynchburg City Schools.
