Danby Select Board removes ATVs from agenda, says 'it's completely dropped'

DANBY — The Danby ATV ordinance is dead. At least for now.

The meeting agenda originally had an item listed to “Hear and Act on Planning Commission Report on ATVs.”
But that was pulled from the agenda without explanation as the meeting got started.
The Danby Planning Commission had spent weeks studying the issue, gathering input from a cross-section of town residents and seeking thoughts from other communities that have an ATV ordinance.
The Danby ordinance was expected to make some town roads open to ATV riding to allow riders to access trails from their homes, connect from trail to trail, and other uses.
