A DRIVER who caused the deaths of a father, his two children and their family dog on Father’s Day has been jailed for ten years six months at Preston Crown Court.
David Logan, aged 48, of Broughton Road, Dalton pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to three counts of causing death by dangerous driving, driving over the prescribed limit of alcohol and criminal damage which is in relation to the death of the family's dog.
The court heard that on Sunday 21st June 2020 at around 2.30pm Logan was driving a silver Peugeot 206 on Abbey Road towards Dalton.
Logan mounted the kerb colliding with pedestrians Joshua James Flynn, Skylar Flynn, Coby-Jay Flynn and their pet dog Troy who all sadly died at the scene.
