D&R Greenway Land Trust Releases New Video
on Children & Nature with Babe Ruth’s Granddaughter:
‘Fields of Dreams’
Princeton: D&R Greenway’s new video, ‘Fields of Dreams’, features sports as an avenue to appreciating time in nature, especially for children. Linda Ruth Tosetti, granddaughter of legendary home-run hitter Babe Ruth, tells personal stories about the Babe’s early life and how he became motivated to become a baseball player.
The video begins with D&R Greenway trustee James Fiorentino, artist of international renown, who has painted many of baseball’s most legendary players, since his teen-age years. Youngest artist ever to have his art featured in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, at 15, James had begun his sports art career with Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams. The artist talks about the increased land connection he feels while outdoors, and credits this with having formed his lifelong life-long love of nature, and current artistic focus upon its preservation. He serves as Trustee for D&R Greenway and other significant non-profits.
