Cyprus plans 5G auction on 17 December

Cyprus will organise its 5G auction on 17 December, after three postponements in as many months, writes the Financial Mirror. According to Department of Electronic Communications head George Komodromos, the auction will offer four licences for the 700 MHz and 3.6 GHz bands, valid for 20 years. The bidders are Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta), Primetel, Epic and Cablenet, and the winners should be announced by the end of 2020.
