ELLENSBURG — A new exhibit at the Central Washington University Museum of Culture and Environment highlights the human connection to the foods that bring us together and provide us nourishment and comfort.

“Sustenance: The Material Culture of Food” is showcasing artifacts from across the world used to harvest, store and cook food, and includes a tour of the CWU greenhouse on Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. to see a variety of food plants from across the world, according to a CWU press release.

According to the press release, the show features items from the museum’s collection that show how people acquire, prepare and eat food from a number of cultures around the world.
