Cumbria gave one last applause for Colonel Sir Tom Moore tonight. He was a veteran of the Second World War and an NHS fundraising hero who died yesterday aged 100.
Colonel Sir Tom Moore is widely regarded as a "national hero" for walking 100 laps of his garden to raise £33million for the NHS during the Covid-19 crisis.
He died in hospital on Wednesday after a short battle with Covid-19 and tonight at 6pm, families took to their doorsteps to clap for him one last time.
