Cumberland made the journey to Farmer City on Tuesday night and the trip was well worth the journey. The Pirates sailed away with the 57-14 win.
Despite scoring only 3 points in the first quarter the Knights did play good defensively but Cumberland took advantage of many turnovers turning those mistakes into points.
In the second quarter Cumberland imposed their will defensively, holding the Knights to just 1 point in the quarter. Seniors Brennyn Cutts and Wyatt Napier took advantage of the matchups, leading the team in scoring at the half with 10 points a piece. Cumberland would lead 34-4 at the half.
