Cultural Recovery Fund grants given to support Newark Palace Theatre, National Civil War Centre, Newark Castle and National Holocaust Centre

Funding of £78,000 has been granted to organisations in Newark and Sherwood in the latest round of the government's Culture Recovery Fund.
They are among 2,700 cultural and creative organisations nationally to receive a share of £400m to help their recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
Newark and Sherwood District Council has been given £47,500 for its heritage and cultural services, including Newark Palace Theatre, National Civil War Centre Ââ Newark Museum, and Newark Castle and Gardens.

The money will allow re-opening and the development of the cultural programme including increased use of Newark Castleâs gardens, as well as creating opportunities for local artists and arts practitioners.
