Cuba expresses condolences over Zimbabwean foreign minister's death
Havana, Jan 20 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez expressed his country's deepest condolences on Wednesday over the death of Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Sibusiso Moyo.
On his Twitter account, Rodriguez conveyed grief to the Zimbabwean people and Government, which he extended to the diplomat's relatives and friends.
According to Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the foreign minister died of Covid-19.
Moyo fought all his life so that Zimbabwe could be free, and said he was a personal friend, the president stated.
George Charamba, secretary of the Presidency and the Government, noted in a statement that Moyo died at a local hospital, according to The Herald newspaper.
