We want dole all right. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. You know i was just thinking on the way down, soft yes, i was thinking on the way downstairs. I was just thinking on the way downstairs, law i was thinking on the way down an elevator, tomorrow will be the first time in my life i dont have anything to do. [laughs] but i wanted to come down and thank all of you. Youve done a great job, and im very proud of trent. Were going to keep the senate. We are going to keep the house. [applause] thank you bob thank you bob thank you bob thank you. Thank you very much. Let me say that ive talked to president clinton. We had a good visit, and i congratulated him. Boos. I said repeatedly, i said repeatedly in this campaign, the president is my opponent not my enemy. And i wish him well and i pledge my support and whatever advances the cause of a better america, because thats with the race was about in the first place. A better america as we go into the next century. And im very proud of my teammate, jack kemp. Ive talked to jack, and i think jack kemp. I want to thank not only, jack but his, wife joanne, who didnt outstanding job and all the camp family for the work they did in this campaign. And obviously, i want to thank two outstanding women, my daughter, robin, who did a great job. [applause] and of course, my wife, elizabeth, whos traveled this country. [applause] from one end to the other. In fact, theyve both been with me in this 96hour marathon. And we had a great time, we have great crowds and a lot of enthusiasm. I threw oclock this morning, i guess it was, we werent, missouri, and i never saw so many people in one place out said but the republican party. And let me say a special word. Let me say a special word to all the young people, the young, americans and the young people who were involved in my campaign. [applause] you have been a constant source of inspiration for elizabeth and myself, and i might add youre not going to get that tax cut if you dont be quiet. [laughs] and i would say to the young people and all the others involved, its a lot more fun winning. It hurts to lose an election, but stay involved and keep fighting the good fight. [applause] because you are the ones who will make the 21st century the next american century. [applause] and i dont want anybody to pass out here, but i also want to thank all the media troubled with me on the plane, and all of my friends. boos , no, come on. All of my friends, with many friends in the media, and they were there every day, every night, every day and every night as we flora the country. And we met hundreds and thousands and thousands of good people, all across america who want a better america, and will continue to work for a better america. And as i looked around tonight i came in and i saw very special people, who have been helping me for the last ten, 15, 20, 25 years and i, say thank you for all youve done because i know your support. I know because of your support, i am still the most optimistic man in america. [applause] and i know that not thousands of you have worked day and night, under and you trust me with a vote, and for that i will always be grateful. And i say thank you very much. [applause] and i would say healy, youve done an outstanding job. We appreciate it very much. And weve had our cochairman flying around with. Us youve done a great job. We appreciate you being with us. And i want to say to my campaign staff, to scott and to jill and to joanne and everyone else. I couldnt have had a more, better mirthful, more loyal team. And i want to thank everybody, and will have an opportunity to do that if. [applause] its been a long time since i entered politics we back in 1951. A lot of things have happened since that time but some things never change. A few days after a took my seat in the legislature, and look at what i had on my agenda, i said im going to stand up for what i think is right, and if any of you are wondering what my plans may be in the future. Im glad to sit back for a few, days than him to start standing up for what i think is right for america, and right for you. [applause] all those who are watching, thank, you its been a long, long campaign. Ive learned a lot. I hope the American People have learned a lot. But we need to do now is to come together as republicans, are going to keep the house, were going to keep the senate, request to do what we should do for the United States of america. [applause] ive never been prouder in my whole life to beat the republican nominee for president of the United States. [applause] i leave you all tonight with a full heart and a fervent prayer that we will meet again and will meet often. Where america is i was, happening every day is a new beginning and every day is a blessing from god. I want to say thanks to each one of you here. Thanks for all youve done and all you will do in the future for america. Thanks very, much and god bless america.
