Everybody has his own special dream of what the world is going to be like in the future. But we all know its steadily shrinking. One of these days were going to wake up and find that people in places we used to just read about are practically in our own backyard. Its happened. Huhuh, i dont like the looks of this. Why not . Its going to be wonderful. It will never work. We cant get along with those people. Theyre too different. Well get along. Weve got to. The future of civilization depends on brotherhood. I wouldnt trust any one of them. I will wait ate minute. What about this business of brotherhood . But were all different . Are you . Lets take a look at the facts. Right from the start. The first people on earth knew only a very small section of it. They lived close together and looked alike. But pretty soon they started to spread out. And as they drifted further apart, little differences began to appear. Most of the people of the world kept the same inbetween colors of their ancestors and still do. But three groups on the very edges of the World Population developed distinct differences in color. These exceptional groups gave rise to our idea of three acc t separa separate races of mankind. There are other differences. You find all sorts of hair, eyes, nose shapes, and sizes. But you find these same differences within each group. Its only color and a few other frills that distinguish our three races. The caucasian, the neg roid and the mongo lloyd. For example, there is no difference in physical strength. Well, strength, sure, but what brains . There are some variations. For instance theres a difference of about cubic certainty meters in the brain of the average american neg groe and the brain of the american white, both of which are smaller than the so it isnt the size of a brain that counts. Its what it can do. And their tests have shown that our three average men are equal. If you take their skins off theres no way to tell them apart. The heart, liver, lungs, blood, everything is the same. Everything is the same. Heart, liver, lungds, blood. No, not blood. Blood is different. Well, there are four different types of blood, a, b, ab, and o. Patient in room 216 needs a transfusion right away. Ill give it to him. Im his brother. Stanley, hes dead yes, but he wouldnt be if wed been more scientific about it. Brother or no brother, what he needs is type a. And the right blood donor for him could belong to any race, since the four blood types appear in all races. Say, were not really so different at all. Like you say, its just the frills. Only, wait a minute, i got a question. How come we live like this . And it wasnt always that way. For instance, at a stage of history when the socalled pure whites of Northern Europe were little better than savages, the darkerskinned mixed peoples of africa had flourishing cultures. And the great civilization of northern china had begun to develop. All people contributed to civilization, reaching high levels at different times and each learning from the experience of the other. But certain basic ideas which were common to all branches of the human race, belief in a supreme being, in the home, and the family. How civilized a person is depends on the surroundings in which he grows up. The differences in the ways people behave are not inherited from their ancestors. They come from something called cultural experience, or environment. Suppose you could somehow switch two newborn infants from entirely different backgrounds. They would not inheart their real parents cultural experience or ideals ar mechanical apt toouds. Those are things you acquire. Got a match, bud . [ speaking Foreign Language ] i get it. But now that were living so close together, we can get used to each others ways, and Work Together peacefully. Hooray all we need is a little real understanding and what i said before, brotherhood. Right. And we have to put those ideas into practice in certain very specific ways. We have to see to it that theres equal opportunity for everyone from the very beginning. An equal start in life, equal chance for health and medical care and a good education. An equal chance for a job. Then we can all go forward together. Our cspan campaign 2020 bus team is traveling across the country asking voters, what issues should president ial candidates address . I really want to know what our future president or any other president ial candidates will do for this state and my community regarding jobs, jobs market, and the economy. The United States must have a strong economy. We are a huge nation. We provide a lot of information and products about the world. I really do need or i really do hope for the next president , no matter who they are, man, woman, democratic, republican, for our president to defend our jobs and help our economy, not hurt it. Some of the issues i would like the president ial candidates to fact tackle would be the student debt crisis, reproductive rights. I feel its for women to decide what they want to do. The question i have, what are you guys going to do about the palestinian israeli crisis . Because it is unfair to completely ignore the humanitarian situation and the injustice thats happening in palestine with just the whole issue in gaza and whats been happening in recent days, you cant just ignore the pal stainian people and what they want to do because at the end of the day were all humans. There has to be some level of compromise and agreement that we can all come to, because at the end of the day we want to live just like you guys want to live. What i want president ial candidates to acknowledge is whats going on in the community but mostly the black community with police brutality, things that are not happening for police getting off on things they shouldnt get off on, ten years for killing someone in their home, things like that, it should be addressed and should be known that you cannot do that and not okay just because you have some type of power.
